Does this make for a good parked domain?

I've come across a recently expired domain that is a 5L.com with 3.35 million searches per month. The word is gibberish. I googled it and came up with virtually nothing. The internet archive has no accessible page of this domain. The domain record was three Chinese people since 2010. Even in Chinese, this word means nothing. According to Google KP, only 880 of these searches came from China.

The CPC is 1.60 and the competition is low. Again, it has almost 4 million searches. It's not that brandable and it's not used anywhere and seriously means nothing. I don't even think it's a typo. Google Keyword planner can't come up with any good "related" search terms. And Google Trends can't give any added data. So why are there 3.35 million searches for this word?

Anyway, is this a worthwhile parking investment? I wouldn't even know what keywords to target. But 3.35 million searches with no competition???

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
domain could have been used for an ad campaign, malware or for spam. If you want to park domains trying looking for domains with potential North American traffic and with a higher CPC. The rates you see in the keyword planner are the cost of ads to comes the will come out inside Google domains, partner websites(adsense, parked domains) will only get a estimate 30 to 40% of the listed CPC.

So does search volume mean anything in this case? I checked and the US accounts for 673k of these searches. Again, this word means nothing and there's nothing on google to indicate this word means anything.

The search volume reported by Google is probably incorrect. I've noticed this happening lately.

Use the full domains with extension and see if there is any search volume for that. That's a better indicator for type in traffic.

Example:
loans - search volume 550,000
loans.com - search volume 2,400

if a name has no meaning, then why would anyone type it in their browser?

use common sense.
