Top Spot on This Week's Domain Sales Chart Goes to a Dutch ccTLD (One of 2016's Six Biggest Country Code Sales)

While it was a relatively quiet week on the aftermarket overall, the ccTLDs had plenty to celebrate, including the 6th biggest sale year to date in that category and six entries on our latest weekly all extension Top 20 Sales Chart. Setting the pace was the $61,605 sale of Telefoonhoesjes.nl ("phone cases" in Dutch) via Undeveloped.nl.

After Sedo filled the runner-uo slot with Serres.com at $30,000, the country codes made it two for three with Sedo's sale of #3 Cars.pt (a Portuguese ccTLD) at $22,200. Sedo, who swept 14 of the 20 chart entries, rounded out the first five with YUO.com at $19,999 and Swarming.com at $18,000. The latter two helped the .coms pile up 11 charted sales.

The non .com gTLDs got into the act too, claiming three places on the leader board - all .nets. Two of those landed on the top half of the chart - Sedo's sale of #6 (tie) WishList.net at $15,000 and the $12,500 sale of #10 Curate.net by Braden Pollock's LegalBrandMarketing.com.

SnapNames was the only venue other than Sedo to post multiple chart entries. They scored with #8 Jipo.com at $13,500 and #19 Wows.com at $6,522. Chart honors also went to Park.io for #11 Crawl.io at $12,000 and Afternic who sold #13 SpanishMeat.com for Hitnamer.com at $9,999.

Country Codes

As I noted at the top of this report, the ccTLDs had a banner week with a half dozen domains making the all extension Top 20. Those six, of course, filled the first six spots on our latest weekly Country Code Top 20 Sales Chart with Telefoonhoesjes.nl setting the pace at $61,605. The highest sale in this category that you haven't seen yet is Sedo's sale of #7 AdityaSingh.me at $5,000.

The upper half of the elite list was completed by a couple of sales at Park.io - Nutrition.io and Surge.io - at $4,500 each, and Sedo's $4,218 sale of #10 Tiefgaragenreinigung.de. Sedo and Park.io held the spotlight on the second half of the leader board too with Sedo taking 8 more places and Pak.io another pair.

The British Indian Ocean Territory's .io won the extension race with five chart entries. Germany's .de was next with three. Here is how the country code leaders stacked up for the week ending Sunday, June 26 2016:

Non .com gTLDs (.net, .org, .biz, .info & others, including new gTLDs)

The non .com gTLDs were led by the three sales you saw on the all extension leader board earlier - with two of those reaching five figures, topped by Sedo's $15,000 sale of WishList.net. The highest sale in this group that you haven't seen yet is #4 on our latest weekly Non .Com gTLD Top Sales Chart. That was Sedo's sale of Regional.org at $4,800.

Sedo rounded out the first five with Custom.pro at $4,440. Only ten sales were reported for the entire category with eight of those coming from Sedo. DomainNameSales had one of the two that were logged elsewhere after selling Slow.life for Todd Savage at $1,100.

The .nets won the extension race with five chart entries, followed by .org with two. Here is how the non .com gTLD sales leaders stacked up for the week ending Sunday, June 26, 2016:
