I am thinking about buying a keyword domain whos keyword has 100k+ monthly searches accourding to Adwords Keyword Planner. Is it worth buying it?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
If it's a .com its proberly worth buying at a certain price, 100K monthly searches does not necessarily mean you will get a lot of type-in traffic.

The keyword planner also suggests a bid for advertisers, the higher this figure the more potential an exact match domain has to earn parking revenue.

Depends on a lot of different things. Hard to say without knowing what it is? What extension? Previously developed?

As far as i know it is undeveloped. But its a .com.

Its a .com.

EDIT: Its also 15 years old, registered first 2001

Well it really depends on the domain and how much you wish to spend.

You can also request a pre-purchase appraisal on namePros by starting a thread @
I rather wish not to do it since I am not yet sure if I can get it. Its also not a single keyword, its a 2keyword domain.

Example: instead of car.com its carpark.com

Also, the domain is about 100€.

I'd go for it if the suggested bid is high and the asking price for the domain is relatively low in comparison.

Edit:
I'd definitely grab it if the bid were anything more than $0.25. Setting expectations low, I'd expect to break even (with renewal) after the 2nd year with that.

No one has bid yet and the auction ends today. Its bid start is 60€ and i would be willing to go zp to 100€.

With 100K monthly searches why wouldn't you want to develop it into an affiliate site? You will make a lot more money than a few cents in parking revenue.

I have no idea about web developing^^

Also, @everyoneelse: Adwords suggests a bid of 0.45€, is that good/okay?

So yeah, going from the responses here its a good site and I should try and get it!

Tip # 36:
backwards terms and phrases can get huge search volume too, but they don't make sense in every day language, so nobody types them in

its not backwards. It is a 2 word keyword domain.

like carpark.com or sexytoys.com etc

I really dont know @AGermanGuy , it all depends on your choice and the name, I for example have .xyz with popular first name that has 136,00 exact searches and from estibot it shows $0.88 per click , I am planning to sell in the nearest future but just to show such search amount is really big ( exact ) , it's all up to you I think and your researches

Be careful, recently the keyword tool from Google Adwords is all messed up. It shows the same volume of searches for singular, plural and even typos. So those 100.000 searches per month could actually be 0.

Shit youre right. It shows the same for singular, plural. How do I now know if these values are correct?

I know that the tip for using Estibot is a big NONONO at Namepros :) But concerning the recent problems with keyword tool, its quite useful. Try it :)
