Domain Movers: Sound.com, QCC.com + More

Coming off a weekend, domain activity is always on the light end but I was able to detect several domains on the move for one reason or another, so here those are.

Finlead has acquired the premium generic domain name Sound.com from its past owner Roy Timberman for an undisclosed price at the end of July 2016.

Bitzer.com has been acquired by Bitzer Familienstiftung from Tucows for an undisclosed amount. The domain was part of the Mailbank portfolio, which they do sell some domain names out of it from time to time. The portfolio of 17,000+ was purchased for $18 Million in 2006 and contained surname domains.

FX Networks has registered several “Legion” domain names in the .tv extension. LegionArt.tv, LegionFans.tv, LegionGame.tv and more.

GoDaddy/NameFind has unloaded another slew of 3 letter .net domain names to a Chinese investor. I counted 26 in one day. They also sold QCC.com to the same buyer (XiaoFeng Lin) of the 3 letter .net’s as well as 521.net. They also sold JobsOnDemand.com to Fluent, Inc. 800TollFree.com to 800Telecom, MyImpactPage.com to Better Impact Inc., DOM 360 acquired RobertDonovan.com and ORD Group Ltd acquired Shompole.com. (they sold several more as well)

KL.com which I mentioned recently in another article, unlocked and potentially looked like it may have sold. The domain did transfer out of NSI to CSC Corporate Domains. Now the question, did it sell? That is still unknown, as it held whois information from the past registrar in K&L Gates LLP. KLGates.com also transferred to CSC, along with about 23 other domains. So as of right now, I would say KL.com did NOT sell and CSC just gained a new customer.

FartMonster.com was grabbed on the drop for a currently unknown client of brand protection services MarkMonitor.

MarkMonitor also grabbed GreenRating.net on the drop, which made me look into the .com which is owned by EvolveSoft LLC and it holds MarkMonitor name servers but is registered at Moniker.

Wave.com was purchased by Chime, Inc. for $420,000 and was spotted by George Kirikos and mentioned on his Twitter page.
