ConAgra Foods, Inc. secured two domain names relating to food brands they offer: AndyCapps.com and JiffyPopPopcorn.com. They hand registered each domain name after both recently expired. They also registered a few more.
Anske.com which was grabbed on the drop via DropCatch.com on August 20, 2016, sold 2 days later via Afternic and is currently in escrow. Buyer is currently unknown.
WeTest.net has been acquired by corporate domain name service CSC via Afternic, for an unknown client. The domain was parked with SmartName and held a for sale message directing interested parties to Afternic with a top banner message.
Tektronix Inc., a Safenames client owns WeTest.com. WeTest.org is owned by MarkMonitor client Tencent. Either could be the buyer but it may be another corporation.
AliciaKeys.com, which was owned by Sony Music Entertainment at MarkMonitor, has transferred to GoDaddy.com under privacy protection. The same website resolves.
NBCUniversal Media, LLC nearly lost USF.com while registered at Network Solutions due to the domain reaching expired status. It was renewed and the company has now consolidated the domain to MarkMonitor with the majority of its other domain assets.
Dairy Queen is in the process of moving its domain name portfolio out of GoDaddy to brand protection service MarkMonitor. One of those valuable domain names is the famous DQ.com. Dairy Queen is a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway.
Legend Pictures, LLC (Legendary.com) has acquired the domain name ProjectAlpha.com from GoDaddy/NameFind for an undisclosed amount.
InsulinBasics.com has been acquired by a currently unknown CSC Corporate Domains client. The domain was registered on 1/31/2016 after recently expiring and currently is in Afternic Escrow. The .net, .org, .info and .biz were all registered on 8/22/2016 at CSC. There is a listing at Sedo that shows a $750 Buy Now, so that potentially may have been the sales price at Afternic.
Amazon registers the domain names AlexaChampions.com and AlexaChampion.com
VFL.com has moved to MarkMonitors form of whois privacy. The domain was owned by Melaleuca, Inc. and is now displaying DNStination, Inc. The domain is redirecting to Melaleuca.com, so it would appear to be owned by the same company still. It does appear that the domain recently transferred into MM from GoDaddy.
Slither.com sold via Sedo for $20,000 EUR. The domain is still in escrow, but the hit game Slither.io would be potential buyers. If Slither.io were the buyers, it was a smart move and they got a great deal!
I completely agree with you on Slither and if .io is the buyer of .com, they got a bargain and I wonder why seller didn’t do any research!
