Isn't the demand for the commodity something to determine before you buy it? Assuming you paid a premium for the domain.

I really dig .to. Many companies and individuals use them as vanity URLs on social media. Bernie Sanders for instance was using bernie.to while he was running for president. Amazon.to. Huff.to. etc etc. I think that style of use builds credibility and we'll see more end users. TO makes sense to users in any English speaking country. There is also value for words that make sense hacked with .to.

Yeah it was sort of an imulse buy...

Granted it was a $99 back order it should work out in your favor. Impulse buys are not necessarily bad.

Some people use it as Toronto like Dine.to or Tokyo like Mobile.to...

I know that, but logically if a sale of a decent name sells for 7fig then one of equal if not better quality should in theory sell for 7fig. I also understand there are a lot of other variables to consider like if it was someone's golden domain etc

There are many companies using .IO as a primary domain. And there is hype surrounding the extension in the business world (plenty of funded companies here in Silicon Valley and elsewhere). Short, English-Word .io's have increased in value since I started paying attention several years ago.

I personally think .to is superior in function and has a much better ring to it than .io. "To" is a real/common word and has one less syllable than .io.
