Citing a paradigm shift in the domain registration market, the .XYZ Registry announced a new partnership: Dollar General.

With more than 12,000 stores in the US and a net income of $1.165 billion dollars last year, Dollar General was founded in 1939 – before World War II erupted.

“We’ve had so many .XYZ promotions, from just a penny to one dollar, that partnering with the Dollar General really makes sense,” said Daniel Negari, founder and CEO of the XYZ Registry.

“Domainers want cheap domains, isn’t that a fact? We’ll be reaching out to millions of potential buyers at strip malls and malls across America – yet another ground-breaking alliance from Generation XYZ!” exclaimed Negari, smiling.

Stocking more than 12,000 Dollar General locations with .XYZ domains might appear to be a challenge at first.

The .XYZ domain registration terminals will run a direct link to the Registry, ensuring that the same domain cannot be registered twice. Running Negari OS, the domain interface utilizes large, colorful graphics that are primarily yellow and purple, making .XYZ registrations a cinch.

The new joint venture, nicknamed “XYZ Penny & Dollar General”, will be launched in the coming days, possibly before the US elections.

Dollar General, which had more than $20 billion dollars in revenue last year, is thus becoming a domain sales outlet bigger than Wal-Mart and the number of .XYZ registrations should exceed 10 million by the end of the Holiday Season.
