0123.com Commands Over a Quarter of a Million Dollars to Top This Week's Sales Chart

Short .com numeric domains are one of those categories that have seen stratospheric price increases over the past couple of years. This week brought news of the highest four-digit domain sale reported to date. Flippa.com broker Devoir Funches worked with the buyer's broker, Sharjil Saleem (AEServer.com), to close a $252,500 deal for 0123.com. That also ranks among the 15 biggest domain sales reported so far in 2016

In horse racing terms, 0123.com won by about 8 lengths this week with the cash register tape dropping down to $35,000 for the next highest sale reported - GameWin.com via Sedo. They filled the next four slots on our latest all extension Top 20 Sales Chart as well with a quartet led by a pair of 3-letter .coms - #3 OCB.com at $27,500 and #4 OIR.com at $24,999. Sedo went on to sweep 16 of the 20 chart entries overall.

One of the few spots that escaped their grasp was #7 WorldWideWeb.com. Veteran domain investor Michael Mann (DomainMarket.com) picked up that domain in a private transaction at what looks to be a bargain price - just $18,000.

By Ron Jackson

.Coms piled up 14 chart entries overall while the non .com gTLDs and the ccTLDs claimed three spots each. #5 CraftZone.net led the former with a $19,000 sale at Sedo who put a second .net on the top half of the elite list with #10 (tie) Osteoporosis.net going for $10,000. The third sale in this group came from a new gTLD - #17 DJ.club at $7,200 through Sedo.

The ccTLDs were led by Nidoma.com's $8,361 sale of #15 Vacanzedinatale.it ("Christmas holidays" in Italian). Here is how all of the sales leaders stacked up for the week ending Sunday, October 9, 2016:
