Contest New Logo For Poor Club

I don't know if this is the best place to ask this, but I was wondering if anyone here would be interested in trying to put together a new logo for a radio controlled airplane flying that I belong to.

I know that with a "contest" there is usually a cash prize, but in my case, there are no funds available for a logo design.

I have spent the past week or so overhauling the club's website to give it a more modern look and I have absolutely no design skills what-so-ever. The last overhaul was more than 5 years ago and it desperately needed to be updated. The logo that we are now using is more than 5 years old and one of the members came up with it, but it looks old and tired.

If anyone cares to take this on out of the goodness of your heart (LOL), I will run all entries past the club President so he can pick the one he likes. And know that I recognize that it will take time and effort on your part and for anyone who want to take a shot at it . . . you will have my sincere gratitude.

If no one is interested, I will understand. Nothing ventured . . . nothing gained.

DAMN!!!!

I sure wish I had the talent to produce graphics like these. These are all excellent and I have submitted them to the club President for consideration. I would like to give this another day or two to see if anybody might care to jump in this.

I got just 2 questions.

First, what would it take to have the winning logo with a transparent background? Is that something I can do myself?

And second, how do ya'll do this? I mean, what program do you use? Where do you find the fonts and the graphics?

You just PM the winner(s) and he/she will send you the files.

Personally, I only use Photoshop. Google is your friend concerning the fonts and the graphics. There are many free services, however practice is very important.

Model airplanes is not a cheap hobby. Your club couldn't even scrape together $10 for these talented designers? I find that hard to believe!
