NamesCon 2017 Sponsor Spotlight on Dynadot

dynadotNamesCon 2017 is just a couple of months away, and we are interviewing some of the sponsors of the conference. Today’s interview is with Robyn Norgan, Marketing Specialist at Dynadot.

NamesCon will be taking place at the Tropicana Las Vegas Hotel from January 22-25 and tickets to this year’s conference are available to purchase  now. Over 1,400 attendees are expected to attend the conference.

Thanks to the team at Dynadot  for participating in this interview.

What is your company’s mandate; what sets you apart?

We offer our customers a state-of-the-art control panel that makes it easy to manage anything from a few domains to a large portfolio of domains. We also offer customers everything they need to build the website of their dreams – whether they have no coding skills or advanced skills. We offer a wide range of services including web hosting and an easy-to-use website builder; plus, our fast and straight forward checkout let’s you simply buy the products you need without any upsell.

What’s the story behind how your company was founded?

Dynadot was founded in 2002 by our president, Todd Han. He founded it because he wanted to create a more user friendly interface to register domains after his own experience with another registrar.

How would you define your company strategy and vision?

Our vision is to help customers register domains and create websites simply and inexpensively.

What major milestones has your company accomplished?

Just this year we officially launched our 500th TLD! Over the past few years we have also expanded our team and now have four offices around the world in the US, Canada, and China. We have also furthered our internationalization by translating our website into eight languages and we added support for four currencies.

How will your company engage attendees at the upcoming NamesCon?

We look forward to meeting with anyone that comes by our booth to see us (booth #3!) as well as meeting with customers and partners throughout the event.

How has (or will) NamesCon helped your company achieve its goals?

Namescon has helped us stay involved in the domain industry. It has helped us maintain our relationships with both customers and partners by offering us a great venue to meet with them in person.

What are your thoughts on the new TLDs?

They have added a new energy and diversity to the domain industry.

What are you most looking forward to at the upcoming conference?

We are looking forward to seeing and meeting with our customers and partners. It’s always good to see familiar faces again each year at Namescon!

Where can attendees find out more about your company, product or services while at NamesCon?

We will be located at booth #3 and we’ll have some fun stuff to give away, so please come see us!

  2. Thanks so much for sharing our spotlight, Elliot!

Patricia – Thanks for asking! We do have an interview I did with Todd on our blog here: https://www.dynadot.com/community/blog/2013/10/bosses-day-get-to-know-todd-han.html

We also have more info about our team along with a picture of everyone on our about us page (although the pictures is a little old now and our team has since grown, but it’s hard to get a picture since everyone is spread out in our international offices): https://www.dynadot.com/community/about/about.html
