JotForm ban lifted – Domain moved away from GoDaddy

Many aren't happy with GoDaddy.

JotForm – the startup providing thousands of users with an easy method to create and integrate free contact forms – is back in business, after moving their domain away from GoDaddy.

The co-founder, Aytekin Tank, announced:

“We’re happy to share a good news with you. The domain suspension at jotform.com has been lifted. If you have changed your forms to one of the alternative domains, you can keep them as they are. We will keep the new domains permanently.

I wish we could provide more details about what happened, but we are also in the dark. We have not been given any information by Godaddy or the Secret Service, other than our domain being suspended “as part of an ongoing law enforcement investigation”. “

GoDaddy previously suspended the DNS services for the domain, after the request of the US Secret Service.

This is the third snafu that has caused a mass domain move away from GoDaddy, after Bob Parsons’ elephant hunt and the SOPA fiasco.
