Do you all believe that at some point 4-letter .com domains will sell like 3-letter .coms do right now? If so, how long are you predicting before that happens?

Whew..like 3 letter .com's? Sadly, I personally don't think so. Not unless we're talking about premium 4L.com's like Body.com or something. I believe most 4 letter .COM's will never reach four or five figures. The ones that aren't acronyms of anything and contain mostly poor letters will likely never be picked up by end users, or even developed. When you look at the total number of possible 3 letter combinations as opposed to 4 letter combinations, that 1 extra letter makes a huge difference in the totals.. That's just my opinion though, there are likely a number of 4L believes on this forum who would say otherwise. I could always be wrong :)

Nope. It's not just because of the relative scarcity. Because they are different beasts.
LL & LLL are used for corporate acronyms.
The LLLL are desirable when they fall in one of these categories
  • dictionary keywords (auto, cars, love)
  • brandable (eg kawa, lulu, dudu)
But the value of random LLLL is often very low. In theory any LLLL could be an abbreviation for something, but the pool of potential buyers is more restricted than in LLL for instance.

If you do invest in 4Ls buy ones that end in I, A, O, C, E. Inc, Incorporated, Association, Organization, Corp, Corporation, Company, Enterprise etc…..there are others that I am forgetting but you get the idea.
