I listen to the back and forth about new gTLDs but I've always been a believer in the long haul and not short term.

When I see a sale like this I honestly think there has to be a future and demand. BIG :$:

Basic-Fit.fitness €7,949 = $8,903 Sedo

According to this week report, lot of poor domains sold @ good prices.

those sellers are good at marketing and they find right buyer. IMO.

I agree but what is a poor domain if there's a interested buyer? I guess that's the sport.:)

Other than domain quality, luck plays a big part in domain sales. Over the years, I've seen a lot of crappy domains sell for decent money. Being at the right place at the right time matters.

A fluke does not make a market.
Odd sales remain rare.

Even to this day, people don't Google. Most times when you see a name like this sell, a basic check will explain why.

https://www.google.com/search?q=Basic-Fit.fitness&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8

You shouldn't derive hope from a TM or business buying their own name in a new gtld.

When you go straight to the site, you'll notice it's in Dutch/Netherlands.

When you Google the domain, you'll notice the first result is from the Netherlands - www.basic-fit.nl

So it's just a company buying their own name.

Doesn't look like a fitness site to me, more like a hosting site or something but I didn't translate it. The ones you pointed out in your Google link are fitness sites correct? I also can't find a TM on this name, did you?

basic-fit.fitness appears to be netground.nl, hosting or something.

So are you telling everyone a hosting site has sold this to a fitness company in the Netherlands, or are you mistaken in your research and the hosting comapny paid $8,903.00 for the new gTLD?

Not debating but trying to figure out your reply vrs what I'm looking at. If in fact a hosting company purchased this domain it's an assume new gTLD sale which can't be disputed IMO. :xf.wink:

This has nothing to do with basic-fit.nl, more like netground.nl

Correct me if I'm wrong..

Ok

First, I said TM OR business. You think a hosting site would be under that name, call themselves Basit-Fit Fitness? C'mon, you know you can (again) Google, Dutch to English translation. That's just a placeholder page, they haven't put up anything yet. And just whois both domains, same nameservers.

What are you saying? basic-fit.fitness goes to a site owned by netground, look at the domain.

Did you not just read my post? I just literally explained it to you. That's 2 posts above where I did the dot to dot for you and you're still not getting it.

And to you, see file.

Read my post again. What part of it's just a placeholder page, they haven't put up anything yet are you not getting? That's their host. I just told you to check both domains, same hosting.

Now if that looks like a fitness site to you then, well?

You have some type of dysfunction or you should sleep it off and not spend any more money on domains if you can't understand simple stuff. Try again tomorrow, read it very, very slowly.

I said not a debate, if I'm wrong correct me. I see now that's their hosting provider but I've never seen anyone forward their domain to the hosting provider. It's very misleading after a sale IMO. Looks like they bought the domain.

I don't appreciate your rudeness of saying I have a dysfunction but I guess anything goes around here. I'm sure you have ran off many of good members with your insults with no recourse.

BTW - I do understand simple stuff as I'm sure many do here but not everything like you think you do. :xf.rolleyes:

Yes, you're the good member that likes to buy the names and TMs of other companies. I'm sure they appreciate that. Trying to get off on other people's work.

What's rude is when somebody takes time to reply and explain it to you, more than once, and you don't read it. Just a company buying it's name, nothing more.

Just put this name - JB Lions into - https://www.namepros.com/account/ignored

and then you don't have too see my posts anymore

You know what, you might think you're hidden on the Internet but accusing me of TM violations etc. is a no no. You might want to be a little more careful IMO.

BTW - Most everything has a TM, it's what it's used for. Find something better other than than TM and dysfunction. :P

We already had that thread, other people were telling you the same thing trying to help you. You actually tried to explain it away.

Oh, ok list my UDRP complaints. You are a flamer JB, nothing more.
