Oculus rift, HTC, Sony and others are soon to release VR headsets. Meanwhile the development of 360 degree cameras is ramping up. The 360 technology will create a whole new way of watching movies. It will also create whole new ways of storytelling. The 360 degree view for example means that film crew members have to hide or be cropped out so they don't show up in the film.

Here is a teaser from the porn company Huccio thats working on producingg 360 degree porn

Aha. I started this thread because as soon as I started a catch all thread about things related to VR people started saying every thing should have its own thread. Firts thing that happens when I start a solitary thread for 360 domains is that you pop in and tell me to go to "Holo, 3D and tech"-thread. I don't get this forum.

I second that mate @Onekey , let's have a thread dedicated to 360 domains. I have seen separate threads for VR and AR domains, so let's go for 360 domains now.

So 360 is dead? Well, the technology isn't even mass produced yet so the fact that the domains are not flying of the shelves is not strange to me.

Let's discuss all the crappy names here instead.

didn't say 360 or any of the "showcase" threads subjects were dead, but.....

for most threads, the "creme` de la" has long been skimmed and made into cheese.

yum, yum

so, coming up with something "edible" from what's left, may not make a good sandwich.

and "the technology" per se`, as a product, often has a branded/creative name, other than 360/ halo/ wearable/ etc. attached to it.

that's all i'm saying.

I agree about the tech itself. But with the 360 thing I'm mostly into porn domains. Because I think it will be huge for that. And I can't say the good porn domains were gone. I got a bunch of good ones. At least I think they are good.

I guess I'll keep the party going on my own. Being swedish I registered 360Stockholm.com. I might actually want to do something with this one. Stockholm is beautiful and attracts alot of tourists. So maybe some 360 video tour site would work out.

I regged Spherecamera(s).com today. I was really surprised those weren't taken. Maybe I'm missing some english linguistic thing (I know sphericalcamera is taken for example) but I think those are quite good.

I pretty much agree with those who say that all good names were regged long ago, but I found 2 which might've slipped through cracks and were worth a small "gambling" fee:

Augmented360 and 360Augmented, both in dot com. Google search returns mostly AR related hits, so time will tell whether I put my money on right horse(s)

If you have a domain called supplement360 it makes sense. The meaning is sort of "supplements everywhere"....but to me 360supplement is just confusing. Especially when this thread is about 360 degree video related domains.

There is however other thredas abot "360" domains that has nothing to do with video. Did you mean to post there?

'supplement 360' would mean a specific supplement that is in an imagined 'class' of 360 or is '360th'...another example: year 2007.com...2007years.com...got it?...in this light 360supplement.com is it!...wrong thing is where it was posted
