Hello, I want to transfer all my domains from others registrars to other registrar, which one (or 2) you guys recommand me? I own mostly .com and .in domains, I need one that is well secured and have renewals as cheap as possible.
I readed that 1and1 and GoDaddy are not recommanded, I tried to look for a solution but I saw only non-recommandations.

Thank you!

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
If you need whois privacy free for life and domains are (.COM/.NET/.ORG) then you should move your domains to NameSilo.com.

Thank you for your recommandation.
Is NameSilo.com well secured? also can I add to my account Two-Factor Authentication?

If they're .com, .net or whatever extensions NameSilo supports, I recommend you go with NameSilo also.

For other extensions, you can use InternetBS, they provide the same price range as NameSilo, and they have free whois privacy also.

Dynadot.com can be a good alternative.
$8.75 .com-s,
two-factor auth, easy to use menu, and good support.

Thank you, so you advice me to use NameSilo too?

Yeah for the .com's at least, don't know if they have .in. If you have many domains you could also reach out to Uniregistry and ask for bulk pricing.

Have something like 180 .com's and maybe 210 totally to move.

It really depends on what plans you have for those names.
If they are " keepers " then NameSilo is a thumb up ( and so is Namecheap )
If they are names you are going to trade then I would go without doubt with GD. The advantages beat the disadvantages 100 to 0

Thanks, Compassion. The 'Move your domains day' seems to be 27 Jan, 16.

By the way, upon transferring a domain does the expiry date reset to 1 year or 1 year is added to the current expiry date.. :-/

it is a regular transfer, just one year $3.98 + ICANN fee

I'll only be able to move 50 domains per account or you meant 50 domains at once (that way I'll be able to move all my 220-240 domains)?

Only 50 per customer, All the transfers must be made on a single day.

Looks like namecheap developed http://moveyourdomainday.com/ into a resource all about civil liberties and the digital world - a very important cause indeed. Funds raised on move your domain day go to the Electronic Frontier Foundation.

One reason I prefer namesilo over godaddy.

You can activate whois privacy at namesilo, then turn it on or off if you want to add a name to sedo for example. With domainsbyproxy.com (godaddy) once you buy private registration, the only way to turn off privacy is to cancel your private registration.

Also, private registration is free at namesilo.

I transfer all my names come renewal to namesilo. Developing.xyz is coming up for renewal.. Goodaddy is $17.99 plus $10 for whois privacy, namesilo is $9.39 all in.

Never heard of any security issues with namesilo, and their support has answered my questions in record time.

Alot of domainers are using namesilo, so doing deals is easier if someone has an acct with them.

Thats my reason. Happy domaining!

From what I have learned from this thread...

I think I will move all my domains to NameSilo.. (the long keepers)

And in January move again to Namecheap for $3.98 each, plus adding an extra year.

OMG, I'm so done with 1and1, in their dashboard you can't see even domain expiry date for all of your domains, also bulk editing not possible, BAD security, VEEERY slow running website...will be total nightmare to transfer domains out, but at least I got each domain for $1 :D
