What is going on over at godaddy?
been a customer with them since 2006 and NEVER been harassed with
spam emails like I have been recently.

I registered a name I was waiting to drop [was mine a few years ago]

the next day I receive this shit for logo's or Search engine submissions?
-----
Block all email from
  • Logo Jeeves ( Logo_Jeeves @mail.vresp.com)
  • Logo Jeeves (brandon @logojeevescoupon.com)
  • Jayson Walter (nfo @ Website-Design-guru.com)
  • info @submissionforsearch.com (info @submissionforsearch.com)
--------
So who gives out this info...has Godaddy changed the way they allow snooping?

pissed because in all the years I have never been spammed like this via godaddy...

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Yep, I'm getting them too. It's aggravating.

GoDaddy has nothing to do with the emails being sent to you. When you register a domain the information becomes public almost instantly. There's custom bots probably scanning all new regs from every registrar.

Ive been getting heaps lately from people wanting to help me set up a website :D

It definitely isn't Godaddy spamming you. I get anywhere from 5-10 emails per new reg. domain ranging from logo design, website services to a supposed interested investor from Burkina Faso who has sent me funds for my domain and requires me to pay a release fee (lol).

An option of course is purchasing whois privacy to protect you from such spam and nonsense, or the free option which works (filtering such emails to go straight into your junk/spam folder).

I get them all the time, its not just from GD domains

Its probably a scan of new registration and also changes in any WHOIS details

thanks for the replies, just seems odd after all these years of not using privacy
but not getting spammed either.
I received the emails within hours of regging - sad really, makes me not want to
even consider the services offered....

besides, spamming in Canada is banned unless they have proof I "agreed" to
them ot their customers.
May have to look into how the reporting of that works ;)

I just mark as spam and add to blocked list but although annoying as I have not asked for these messages cant help but think maybe it is just someone trying hard to make a living..

I think that sometimes too and I feel for them,,,,
however, it's the "foot in mouth" syndrome
it Can't be good for business to be known as a spammer ;)

EDIT:
just received more ..
so do they have a bounce back thing that sends from another email address "if blocked"?
cause how else would it come a second time...so soon
black is black, it's spam!
