Hi there ,
I'm stuck here , :(

I don't know the quality of my domains. Are they worth anything? Can you point out the ones that are valuable and that could sell at all?

i. kellysbeachresort
ii. alarmscreencompany
iii. washingtonsquaredentist
iv. amexglobal
v. tessauto
vi. autoaccidentlawyermichigan
(they are all in com extension)

The problem is how can I find end users?

I registered the first domain up there with the intention of selling it to the owner of the .com.au extension. I have searched all over for the contact but to no avail. I checked the whois data and sent a mail, no response. I checked .com.au whois data, sent mails to two contacts there(registrant and tech contact) - no response still.

The other five domains there were gotten from expireddomains I used all parameters to assess these domains before registering them but right now I am doubting their qualities.

I received a mail concerning the fourth domain there. The subject of the mail was on ''NOTICE of TRADEMARK INFRINGEMENT''. It was sent from legal@mm-amex(dot)com

I am thinking of requesting for a refund for all the domains.
I don't know what to do:(
can you advice me please ?

I am willing and ready to learn from everyone here. I will really appreciate detailed explanation and guide and probably you can recommend pdf, videos, existing topics here on NamePros and all related materials that can support me.

Thank you all in anticipation

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Well Amex sounds like a TM (trademark) issue. I think you are putting the cart before the horse.
A good domain name should not pose obvious TM issues, and should have a pool of potential users/buyers.
Here you have only one 'obvious' end user... what do you do with these names then now ? Could you use them for a real business ?

My advice would be to hang around here for some time, read and learn, and in the meantime don't buy anything.

PS: if you have good names, you don't find end users, they find you.

For the price estimation, I don't think those domain are high value. For my point, all are lest than high $xx

Hi,

If you are new, just don't rush, there is a lot of junk information in this industry. A starting point is to look into geo related domains. As an example, HartfordDentists.com (yes is taken), combine small_medium_city+niche.com, register, then google for top 20 niche "players" (from that locations) and make a list. You can even go for cities with under 5000 pop. (worked for me) Contact them with your sales letter/offer. Also you can reverse this, look for active niches with competition (google is your friend here) and after that close the gap with a registered domain (car rentals, private charters, cucumber farm, can be anything). I hope you get the big picture.

Don't buy long domains as you mentioned. I even have to scroll up to rember that autoaccident....name. stick around here for a while and better invest in 1 good domain then 5 useless names. Be careful with trademarks as you just experienced. End users like to buy short and stronger domains which can really benefit them. But a direct approach is always difficult. Don't give up of you are really interested to learn. There is no specific guideline or study for domaining as every name and deal is different. We all lost and made money. See this as in investment to develop yourself and keep asking questions. Also in the search box you can look for specific subjects. Happy domaing:)
