domain How much are "serious" .org's currently worth?

I have found 3 nice "serious" .org domains for handreg. What do I mean with serious? Not 4Ls or something like that. I mean things like savetheplanet.org or combatthepollution.org (just examples). Thats what I mean with "serious", domains that fit .org.

Now, going from the examples above (these are jsut examples, I am not regging them), how much would similar .org's be worth?

savetheplanet.org => good
combatthepollution.org => not good

IMO a name like savetheplanet.org is quite good, and perfect for advocacy purposes. But I think that in .org it should still be possible to find alternatives... (more or less). Charities are less likely to buy a name on the aftermarket but of course we also know that some 'non-profits' like icann have plenty of cash.
.org is good for certain commercial niches like health. I personally like .org domains that relate to human rights or personal security or privacy, but I can't say sales are frequent.

I think you would need to be extremely selective. Plenty of good names are still waiting for a buyer.

Agreed. A .org name that makes sense in the health, human rights, and other social/global causes can be very desirable to end users. Some of these organizations have more money than they know what to do with.

Thats really good to know! I have found so far 2 nice sounding .orgs that are about global climate causes.

If they are fairly short and MAKE SENSE when read aloud, go for it. The UN, individual nations and NGO's are spending billions to research and combat climate change.

they do make sense, however, they arent really short. They are 3 word domains, like my example from above savetheplanet.org.

.org's are worth x,xxx if you have the right name. Savetheplanet.org is good.. I sold classbook.org for x,xxx, I sold bolt.org for 10K. Non Profits, education, are top sellers....Coming to think of it; i think i make more selling .org's than .com..hmmmm..

If you haven't heard or seen the phrase used before then it won't be as valuable as you think. A call to action phrase + .org doesn't guarantee a good domain name/sellable domain name
